Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps! You see all the amazing hotels. The skyline of  New York New York, the pyramid at The Luxor, the canals at the Venetian, and the dancing fountains at the Bellagio are all amazing. See a VEGAS show and  have a great all-you-can-eat-buffet at one of the casinos, as well as time to shop in the Caesar's Palace Forum Shops and the outlet mall.  And of course you will also have a chance to hear the music and see the light show at the Freemont Street Experience. Vegas is an awesome city!

The Mohave Desert, Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. There are some really great places to see and unique views along the way. You see Joshua trees that grow nowhere else, stands of Palm trees, and vast open spaces.

The Grand Canyon is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World!  This is a really awe-inspiring sight.  Watching the sunset here is amazing!

Los Angeles:  there is so much to see and do in LA!  You visit Hollywood, see the Hollywood Sign, The Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the hand prints at the Chinese Theater and the Kodak Theater where the Academy awards are heldWalk Rodeo Drive and see where the stars shop in Beverly Hills.

moritz 2 074.jpg    Spend some time on Venice Beach with the boardwalk, great shopping, lots of sun, and Muscle Beach. Pass the evening in Santa Monica visiting the pier and 3rd street Promenade, with so many street activities.  See Downtown Los Angeles with  its skyscrapers, and Staples center where the Lakers play. Drive down the famous Sunset Strip, where all the music clubs Like The House of Blues and The Whisky are. This area has been a nightlife area since the mobster days of Bugsy Segal and Myer Lansky.  “The Doors” got their start playing here, and Johnny Depp’s Viper Room is here as well.

LA is home to America's movie industry and we will get an inside peek during our visit to Universal Studios back lot tour. And then a final farewell dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

Flight Information

The tour does not include airline tickets.  You may purchase airline tickets yourself, or we can assist.  It is the student's responsibility to either purchase a ticket or ask us for assistance. You may not purchase an airline ticket until YFU has granted permission for you to travel and you have reserved your space.  Airline tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.   We do not automatically purchase flights for a student.

For Arrivals into Las Vegas on 12/5We meet students landing between 10 AM and 5 PM. If you are arriving early, you will have to wait for us at the airport.  If you are arriving late, there will not be anyone to meet you - we will be having dinner. Flights scheduled to land after 5 PM require prior YFU approval, and students will not be met.  This is highly discouraged.

For Departures from Los Angeles on 12/11: Please remember when selecting flights that we are taking you to the airport at least 2 hours earlier than your flight.    If you are departing early, you may not get much sleep, you may miss breakfast, and a chaperone may not be there with you.  Chaperone will assist students departing between 8 AM and 2 PM. Flights scheduled to take off after 2 PM require prior approval and are discouraged;  there will not be anyone around to assist you.

The trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles is part of the tour and is by motorcoach.

It is generally cheaper to buy 1 "multi city" round trip ticket than 2 one way tickets.  Kayak, Orbitz, expedia, travelocity, your local travel agency or we can can all arrange tickets to do this. Airfare is generally cheaper when purchased ahead of time.  Airline tickets are non-refundable, and should only be purchased after all permissions for travel have been obtained.

The trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles is part of the tour and is by motorcoach.

Airlines charge $15-20 each way to take a checked bag of 50 pounds (23 kg) or less.  Jet Blue, Alaska Airlines, and southwest do not charge.  Carryons are free.
