              Day 1 We board the bus beginning see during the day. (Final bus routes are set only after students have signed up but preliminary list is below) .       

             

Day 2-3   Washington DC is definitely one of the America’s highlights.  Take a group photo in front of the White House.  See the city both by day and by night, including the Washington Monument, Jefferson Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorials, Supreme Court, Pentagon, Congress & National Achieves to see the declaration of independance and constitution.  There are really awesome museums here as well.

 

              Students have free time to visit their choice of Smithsonian Museums (choose which museum you wish to visit).  Some students want to see the Air and Space building including space capsules, as well as classic and modern aircraft.   The Museum of the American Indian is also a popular choice. Smithsonian Natural History Museum has the world's largest collection of Gems Jewelry as well as an awesome dinosaur collection, and artifacts from all over the world including Egyptian mummies. If you prefer, there are also a few art museum choices.

We'll visit Washington's newest Museum the Newseum,  a museum of news.  We'll see exhibits of prize-winning news photos, learn about Freedom of the Press, and first amendment rights,and see Today's Front Pages headlines from around the world, and the Berlin wall coming down.

        The Holocaust Museum  is one of the places you will remember for the rest of your life.  This year there is also a special exhibit, Life in Shadows: Hidden Children and the Holocaust explores the remarkable history of children who went underground to escape Nazi persecution.  (SUGGESTED READING MATERIAL:  Night by Elie Wiesel.  This book will be in every school library, or can be purchased used for less than $1 on the internet).  Here is a link to a short video "Encountering Auschwitz" (10-minute film)

Day 4 We’ll spend the morning in Washington for anything we have missed before heading to Philadelphia. The city tour includes the museum steps made famous in the movie ROCKY,  the museum parkway, and some free time at Independence Mall to visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed.

       

Day 5-7  

New York  Visit the  Statue of Liberty,  Take a walking tour in the financial district, including Wall Street and Ground Zero.  See great neighborhoods like Greenwich Village, Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown.

       Ride to the top of the Top of the Rock for views over the city. Learn about making TV shows at NBC stuidos.  Shop on 5th Avenue, see Rockefeller Center, stroll through Central Park.  You will see lots of things you know from famous TV shows and movies.  New York is a true memory-maker.

         Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the most visted attraction in New York City and one of the largest museums in the world. Highlights include the Armor Collection,Met Museum Washington Crossing the Delaware, the Temple of Dendur , The Frank Lloyd Wright room and Tiffany collections, and Costume Institute, an over a million square feet of art.

        Spend an evening in Times Square surrounded by all the lights.  

            

 

  Day 8 We say our goodbyes on board the bus as we head back home.  Now is the time to exchange email addresses of new-found friends from all over the world.

     Because we do not know how many students are going, we do not know where bus stops will be. 

Below are tentative stops. We are planning for 150 students for this trip.

     NOTE THAT LAST YEAR WE HAD MORE STUDENTS THAN SPACES - WE SUGGEST SIGNING UP EARLY. We were sold out by November 1st last year.
